The American Health Imaging Association (AHIA) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improving healthcare, increasing efficiency, and lowering costs in imaging by providing quality image-guided healthcare. AHIA is a member of the American College of Radiology Imaging Network.
AHIA is just one of the many non-profit health imaging organizations that are popping up all over the US. We are one of them. We’ve been around since 2005, and we’re now a member of the American College of Radiology Imaging Network.
AHIA was founded by members of the American College of Radiology (ACR) in San Antonio, TX. In 2005, ACR started a group of imaging organizations in the area, and they started to work together to form AHIA. The group of organizations are called the American College of Radiology Imaging Network, and we are one of them.
You may have heard about the upcoming American College of Radiology Imaging Network meeting in Atlanta, GA this November. It will be a great opportunity to see what we’ve been up to, and the first meeting of the new group of organizations will be held on November 29th.
