I am a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, and I have worked for Liberty Health Sciences for nearly eight years. I am passionate about medical and health care services. Bragging rights: We have a very large group of medical directors who each have a very specific task in the medical center, and they all have very specific goals, which they must achieve for the organization to gain membership. I remember back in the early 1990’s when Liberty Health Sciences was known for its health care services and I was working as the director of our medical center. One of our goals set to improve our services was to have a physician’s assistant on board. This was a very new concept. I remember one of the first times I walked into the medical center, I was a little shocked to see the number of physicians and assistants working there.
This was a large project for a very small hospital and one of the requirements for getting the medical center’s physicians assistants was that the center had to be staffed with a physician and a senior nurse. Once the physicians and nurses were in place, the medical center’s medical director looked at the physicians and decided that they would be the ones to perform the surgeries. They had to be at the hospital for the whole surgery and were responsible for the care of patients during the surgery.
I’m not sure what liberty health sciences was, but it was a huge project for a very small hospital. Bradsenton is a university medical center where the doctors are in the administration building. The hospital itself is on the third floor in a large wing. The building is very large and has a lot of windows. The doctors and nurses are in the administration building, but the physicians are in the operating room.
